LAHORE: The Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has congratulated Masoud Pezeshkian newly elected Iranian President.
In a statement today, the Chief Minister Punjab said Islamabad looks forward to working closely with President elect Dr Pezeshkian to further strengthen Pakistan-Iran bilateral ties and promote regional peace and stability.
The Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz said that Pakistan and Iran enjoy close and historic relationship. She said the two countries must ensure a bright future for their peoples through mutually beneficial cooperation.
Yesterday, the reformist Masoud Al-Badzikian won the presidential election of Iran, he got more than 16.3 million votes in the presidential election, his opponent Saeed Jalili got 13.5 million votes.
