CM Sindh orders Police, Rangers to Crack Down on Robbery Incidents in Karachi

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has directed the police and Rangers to carry out a crackdown on robbery incidents in Karachi.

The Chief Minister took notice of the reports of robberies in the Korangi industrial area and asked the Additional IG for a report.

He also instructed all district SSPs to ensure law and order in their respective areas.

The Sindh Chief Minister directed the Karachi police and Rangers to launch a crackdown against lawbreakers and criminals.

He emphasized that peace and order must be maintained in the city at all costs to promote business activities. He also directed the district and traffic police to ensure smooth traffic flow, and to remove encroachments from areas where they obstruct roads.

It is worth mentioning that yesterday in Korangi Mehran Town, a shopkeeper was killed during a robbery when he resisted the robbers, who opened fire. Relatives of the deceased stated that just 15 days ago, robbers had stolen 70,000 rupees from the shop.

Residents of the Korangi Industrial Area had also protested against street crimes in the area.
