Karachi: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah on Sunday today, morning visited Malir Expressway while he reviewed a portion of the expressway from Jam Saddiq bridge to Shah Faisal.
The CM Sindh directed commissioner Karachi, District Municipal Coorporation (DMC) and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) to remove encroachments from Shahfaisal intersection.
Syed Murad Ali Shah said that this is expressway hence no motocycle and rickshaw will be allowed on the expressway.
He also instructed to establish check posts for heavy traffic on the Malir Expressway. He apprised the Malir Expressway, Shah Faisal intersection to airport will be a 15 minutes distance.
He said that he will soon visit the Malir Expressway at night while he ordered that all the lights on the expressway must be on.
He said that first portion of the Malir Expressway Shah Faisal, airport , Shahra-e-Faisal to National Highway will be the best roads for arrival and departure.
He directed the speed up work on Shah Faisal to Kathore after an inauguration of the first portion.
