RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir arrived at the Rawalpindi Stadium to watch a Pakistan Super League (PSL) match.
The PSL 10 festivities resumed in Rawalpindi today. Before the match began, players and officials expressed strong solidarity with the armed forces and paid rich tribute to Pakistan’s brave military.
A moment of silence was observed to honor the supreme sacrifices of the martyrs, followed by the national anthem. The stadium echoed with chants of “Pakistan Zindabad” and was adorned with national flags. A fireworks display was also held to mark the occasion.
At the end of the first innings, the ceremony resumed with the Army Chief present in the stadium, accompanied by DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
The host of the ceremony, Hamza Ali Abbasi, announced that three days of the Pakistan Super League have been dedicated to the armed forces. The first day is dedicated to the Army, the second to the Navy, and the third to the Air Force.
