COAS & PM calls on UAE President Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed.

Pakistan and United Arab Emirates (UAE) have reaffirmed the resolve to further strengthen bilateral strategic cooperation and dialogue between the two countries

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar Haq Kakar and Army Chief General Asim Munir met the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on this occasion, it was agreed to increase bilateral cooperation.The United Arab Emirates also signed memorandums of investment worth 20 to 25 billion dollars in Pakistan. The ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister, Army Chief, Finance Minister, Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab and others.Under these agreements, UAE will invest in Pakistan in energy, port operations projects, waste water treatment, food security, logistics, minerals and banking and financial services.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar said that Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have entered a new era. Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan has given a new dimension to bilateral relations, and positive effects on Pakistan’s economy will be revealed very soon.

The Caretaker Prime Minister further said that this historic investment will pave the way for economic stability in Pakistan and will also help in fulfilling various initiatives under the Special Investment Facilitation Council

During the meeting, regional and global developments were also discussed with particular reference to the deteriorating human rights and humanitarian situation in the occupied Palestine The Prime Minister expressed Pakistan’s support to a just and durable solution of the Palestinian question anchored in international law and in line with relevant United Nations and OIC resolutions
