RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday visited Pakistan Ordinance factory Wah and heavy industry Taxila where he also inaugrated a urea plant at Wah Noble Chemical Factory.
According to Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa also visited the display center at Pakistan Ordinance Factory Wah and inspected products displayed at it.
The ISPR said that the new urea plant at POF Wah has been completed in a brief period of eight months adding that new plant-based on low-cost modern silver Catalyst technology.
The COAS applauded successes of POF Wah department of research and development while he also expressed satisfaction over the standard of defense and security equipment.
Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa said that POF Wah should do motivated measures for the joint products and sign various agreements with the private sector for the production of various products adding that institutes like POF Wah playing a role for saving national exchequer by producing high standard equipment.
