Combing operations have speed up in Punjab in last five days as 1369 apprehended all around the province while police also arrested 288 high profiles criminals.
As per report submitted to Inspector General (IG) Punjab by law enforcement agencies (LEA)that as many as 57000 police personnel and officers carried out their duties in Eid Ul Azha holidays.
A sum of 27658 people were interrogated in course of the combing operation while the LEA’s carried out 83 combing operations and 150 people were arrested. Around 79 persons were arrested from Gunjranwala division while 105 were arrested from Rawalpindi division in set of 135 operations.
As many as, 57 combing operations were carried out in Sargodha division and 137 persons held. According to the report 490 combing operations carried out in Faisalabad division and 662 people were sent behind the bars.
Around 141 were arrested from Multan division in 62 combing operations. A total of 33 persons were apprehended in 49 combing operations in Sahiwal. 57 were nabbed from Dera Ghazi Khan (DG Khan)in total 39 combing operations. While 45 arrested from Bahwalnagar in 208 combing operations.
The IG Punjab, Mushtaq Sukhera has paid homage to police force over the best performance while IG said that all possible measure will be taken to ensure safety of masses of the province.
