It is pertinent to mention here that the ministry of interior was without any minister after resignation of Sarfaraz Bugtti on December 13.
Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti had tendered his resignation owing to his wish actively participate in the upcoming general elections scheduled for February 8.
The move came just before the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) announced the schedule of February 8 general elections on the orders of the Supreme Court.
