Completed Almost 50 Percent Of Work On Kartarpur Corridor: FO

ISLAMABAD: Spokesperson of the Foreign Office Dr Faisal on Tuesday said that almost 50 percent of the work on Kartarpur corridor has been completed till to date while some of the affairs are still to be decided with the Indian government.

Dr Faisal in a statement said that India is demanding to allow as much as 5,000 Sikh pilgrims to visit Pakistan every day which is yet to be decided as we cannot hold that much people every day.

India wants to allow the Sikh pilgrims to visit their holy places by foot but we want them to visit by a bus service.

A day earlier, it was decided in a meeting of Pakistani experts that a delegation level talks between Pakistan and will be held on April 16.

Spokesperson of the FO in a Twitter message also said, “Continuing with ’s spirit of constructive engagement, we have agreed to the Indian proposal for a technical meeting on 16 April.”

“We expect positivity from so that the corridor becomes a reality for 550th celebrations,” he added.
