Conspiracies Being Made Against Peaceful Karachi, Claims Naqvi

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly, Firdous Shamim Naqvi, on Sunday questioned how huge buildings were built in Karachi despite the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA)’s responsibility to stop illegal construction.

While addressing press conference in Insaf House Karachi, Naqvi claimed that conspiracies were being made against peaceful Karachi. He said that the metropolis was used as a source of corruption by some elements and PTI came forth to expose such conspiracies. He added that millions of rupees were being laundered from the country.

He vowed that PTI will bring back past glory of the economic hub. Criticisng Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Saeed Ghani without naming him, Naqvi said that few lawmakers were insisting to tender resignation but did not study verdicts. He questioned where the officers gone when illegal buildings were being constructed in Karachi.

The PTI leader demanded strict action against the officers that allowed illegal constructions.

Pointing out the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) without naming it, Naqvi said that high-level officials were part of mafia seeking completion of their motives while past rulers of Karachi since last eleven years gave major dent to the identity of the metropolis.
