Islamabad (April 04, 2018): The Supreme Court of Pakistan will hear contempt petitions against the PTI Chairman Imran Khan, PML-N lifetime Quaid Nawaz Sharif and former Chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
Separate petitions are filed against the three over their defamatory remarks against the supreme judiciary of the country.
Senior lawyer Naseer Ahmed Kayani has filed a petition against Imran Khan, accusing him of committing contempt of court by using derogatory language against former chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhry.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar will hear the petition today.
