LAHORE: Pakistan has reported 74 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,113,647. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 24,713 on Thursday.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 4,373 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Till now 11,455 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 6,529 in Sindh, 4,714 in KP, 839 in Islamabad, 672 in Azad Kashmir, 335 in Balochistan, and 169 in GB.
Pakistan has so far conducted 17,063,290 coronavirus tests and 55,634 in the last 24 hours. 999,403 patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,939 patients are in critical condition.
