LAHORE:Pakistan has reported 112 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 750,158.
The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 16,094 on Saturday.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 4,976 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Till now 7,333 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,544 in Sindh, 2,832 in KP, 631 in Islamabad, 428 in Azad Kashmir, 223 in Balochistan, and 103 in GB.
Furthermore 271,524 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 264,010 in Punjab, 104,480 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 68,906 in Islamabad, 20,760 in
Balochistan, 15,304 in Azad Kashmir and 5,174 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 11,072,531 coronavirus tests and 65,279 in the last 24 hours. 654,956 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,149 patients are in critical condition.
