Lahore (May 06, 2017): Jamaat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Haq on Saturday said that those in the highest echelon of power were committing economic terrorism, saying that the corrupt elite cannot protect the country.
Addressing function of JI Youths at Mansoora, Senator Haq said that few families were living lavish life in the country. He added that the oppressor rulers of the country were looking toward Washington instead of Makkah.
He added that the present day politics in the country was of elite’s politics as contesting elections entails rupees billions of expenses. He added that that was why a poor man cant even think of contesting election.
The JI chief said that his party’s struggle was not aimed at to bring any Khan or feudal to power rather for implementation of Islamic system in the country. He added that JI had provided ample opportunities to the youth of the country.
He hoped that country’s youth would play an important role in voting the rulers out of power in 2018 general elections.
