Country’s foreign exchange reserves surpass $20 billion

KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan has released its weekly update on foreign exchange reserves.

According to the State Bank, during the week ending July 4, the country’s foreign exchange reserves increased by $193 million. 

Following this rise, Pakistan’s total foreign exchange reserves have crossed the $20 billion mark, standing at $20.02 billion.

The statement further noted that the reserves held by the State Bank increased by $177 million, bringing its total to $14.5 billion. 

Meanwhile, commercial banks’ reserves also saw an increase of $6 million, reaching a total of $552 million.
