LAHORE: A Lahore court has indicted YouTuber Saad-ur-Rehman (Ducky Bhai) and his wife, Aroob Jatoi, over allegations of promoting online gambling through their social media content.
Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo issued the indictment during a hearing attended by the couple and other co-accused, all of whom pleaded not guilty. Prosecution witnesses have been summoned to testify at the next hearing on February 23.
The case, lodged by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), accuses the defendants of advertising online gambling apps, reportedly causing financial harm to young users.
Ducky Bhai, one of Pakistan’s most-followed content creators, was arrested in August 2025 and later granted conditional bail by the Lahore High Court. Legal troubles escalated after a district court in December 2025 rejected his request to recover his YouTube channel and seized equipment. However, some personal items such as bank cards and identity documents were returned.
Prosecutors revealed that eight videos were uploaded to Ducky Bhai’s channel during the investigation, raising concerns about possible tampering. Ducky Bhai denied involvement, attributing uploads to an editor in Hyderabad and submitting an affidavit to assure no content would be altered.
The case remains ongoing as access to the YouTuber’s channel continues to be restricted. The indictment marks a key moment in a high-profile investigation into alleged digital crimes by social media influencers.
