LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim league -N leader Talal Chaudhry has said that the court decisions show that the courts are influencing the election.
Talal Chaudhry while speaking in a private channel program said that the courts should not be seen as partisan, it should not be seen from the decisions that the judges are acting as cousins.
He said that if the decisions of the Election Commission are not followed, how will the elections be transparent, the courts are requested not to create misunderstanding.
It should be noted that earlier PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif had called the Peshawar High Court’s decision to return the bat election symbol to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf as an attack on the powers of the Election Commission.
He said that the Election Commission had given a fact-based decision regarding the intra-party election of PTI, but how can the Peshawar High Court, being the High Court of the province, give a decision on the issue of the whole of Pakistan.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the Peshawar High Court’s decision is tantamount to an attack on the powers of the Election Commission. The entire nation expects justice from the court.
