Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday declared the intra-court appeals of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and the federal government maintainable.
It is pertinent to mention here that the IHC single-member bench had ordered to hold local bodies election on Saturday in Islamabad next day of the verdict.
Earlier in the day, the IHC had reserved the verdict on the intra-court appeals of the ECP and the federal government over the holding of LB elections in Islamabad.
The court pronounced the reserved verdict while the insistence to suspend the single bench verdict was rejected by the court. While notices issued to respondents for January 9.
Before this the court remarked that local bodies act amendment bill brought in the end time in which number of union councils seats were increased.
