Rawalpindi: Court Martial action has been started against former Director General (DG) Inter Service Intelligence (gen) Faiz Hameed started, the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) apprised.
As per the ISPR feild general court martial action has been started on August 12 under the Pakistan Army Act relevant sections.
According to the ISPR, in the next phase of field general court martial gen (retd) Faiz Hameed charge sheeted today.
He has been alleged with involving in the political activities and violating official secret act harmed state and its interests.
The former ISI chief gen Faiz Hameed used its power and government resources wrongly and incurred unfair harmed to people.
The ISPR further added that during the procedure of field general court martial, gen Faiz Hameed has been under investigation for chaos, unrest and violent activities in the country.
Moreover, many incidents of violent and unrest linked to May 9 are also under investigation against him , the ISPR adds.
Heinous political elements orders in these violent incidents and colluding with them are also under investigation, the ISPR said.
Faiz Hameed has been provided with all legal rights according to the law during the field general court martial.
The Pakistan Army had taken former ISI chief under its custody on August 12.
