Lahore: Anti Terrorism Court has set the date of January 07 for indictment in alleged corruption case in development projects.
Hearing of alleged corruption case developing projects and receipt of kickback reference was held in Lahore ATC. Judge of Anti Corruption Court Zubair Kiyani heard the case in which Chaudhry Pervez Elahi is not appeared.
During the hearing court has asked why Chaudhry Pervez Elahi is not appeared today? On which his lawyer has told that on yesterday Chaudhry Pervez has slipped in the bathroom and he got injured.
The NAB prosecutor said that they present the medical on every date to avoid indictment, on which the court inquired whether the accused who are present can be indicted. Parvez Elahi will be indicted some day.
The prosecutor told the court that the accused could be charged separately, on which the lawyer of co-accused Muhammad Khan Bhatti opposed the prosecution and said that the accused cannot be charged separately.
The lawyer of the former chief minister said that Pervez Elahi is the main accused, in his absence other accused cannot be indicted. It is illegal to indict other accused except Pervez Elahi. But the charge may be framed, give respite postpone the action today.
