BEIJING: Naval Chief Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi met China’s Minister of National Defence Wei Fenghe on Wednesday where discussion on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) took place, agreeing that execution upon its projects will be a ‘game changer’ for the region.
The meeting between the two took place in Beijing where Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi has gone to take part in Chinese Navy’s 70th anniversary celebrations.
According to Pakistan Navy spokesperson, the two military leaders exchanged thoughts on mutual interests of professional affairs.
Naval Chief Admiral Zafar Mahmood thanked China for participating in Pakistan Navy-hosted biennial maritime exercise AMAN-2019, the spokesperson said.
He also inspected international fleet review held for 70th anniversary of China’s Navy, the spokesperson added.
