Cricket team players return after England tour

Pakistan cricket team players arrived here on Friday morning  after the months long tour of England.

Six players accompanied by team manager Intikhab Alam reached Lahore through a private airline flight. Those who landed at Lahore include Wahab Riaz, Shoaib Malik, Muhammad Amir, Babar Azam, Hassan Ali and Hammad Butt.

On the other hand, T-20 skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed accompanied by Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif reached Karachi in a private airline flight.

Talking to reporters at Karachi Airport, Sarfaraz said that they were disappointed by the poor showing of the team in the ODI series. However, he said that the team will focus on practice to improve its game.  Khalid Latif said that the moral of the team was high and they would try to win West Indies series.

Sources said that ODI skipper Azhar Ali has extended his stay in England and he will return later.

It is to be mentioned here that Pakistan played four tests, five one-days and a single T-20 during the months long tour of England.  Pakistan leveled the test series with 2-2 while it faced defeat in ODI series with 4-1. Pakistan drubbed England in the lone T-20.
