CTD fully operational in KP : Ali Ameen Gandapur

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Ali Amin Gandapur on Sunday said that although prosecution in the province was better than before, still there was room for more improvement.

Addressing a press conference in the police line Peshawar, he said that flawed prosecution led to the exoneration of terrorists.

The chief minister said that the CTD was performing quite well in the province as the force had foiled several terror attacks.

He further said that the law and order situation had also improved in KP during the PTI government. “The provincial government will approve the purchase of 16 drones for the forces tomorrow.”

Gandapur complained that the Center was not giving the province the resources required to fight terror. “One must not lie. But I am ready for a debate to prove my point.”

The CM said ” We are fighting a war against terrorism and we are rendering sacrifices for the country and people.”

He said that we are increasing police martyred quota to 12 percent and we are standing with the family of martyred police personnel.

He apprised that PM had said that in the apex committee meeting that CTD was not operational in KP.

He said that in the war against terrorism our part from the federal government has not been given adding the federal government not fullfiled its promise with us.

He said that Kurram issues is based on hatred while some people were violating the ceasefire. He added that some groups were financed by people adding that where from arms are coming to Kurram.

He said that two more platoons of FC are being sent to Kurram.

He expressed determination that the involved culprits in Kurram will be punished after their identification.
