Peshawar: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (kp) has issued report of its actions against those social media accounts spreading terrorism in the current year.
According to the CTD documents, the CTD had taken action against accounts responsible for spreading terrorism under the decisions of the apex committee.
The documents apprised that as many as 3000 social media accounts were shared with Pakistan Telecommunication Authority(PTA), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) cyber crime wing while on the response of the CTD social media desk, the PTA blocked at least 2560 accounts.
As per the documents, the data of 23 targets were sent to respective regional offices in the current year while the CTD Punjab shared data of 15 targets with the CTD KP.
The CTD social media desk shared the data of 77 online arms dealers with senior police officers, the documents further revealed.
