Lahore (March 22, 2018): The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday expressed its anger over DG LDA for digging out a park on the orders of the former finance minister Ishaq Dar in order to widen the road leading towards the minister’s residence.
As per details, the chief justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar was hearing a suo moto case into laying down of a road on the park land near the residence of the former finance minister at the Lahore registry of the apex court.

The apex judge while lashing out the DG LDA asked as to which type of officer he was who acts upon the verbal orders of the finance minister. “I will not let the things go on over favoritism and action under NAB law applies will be applied on the officer,” he said.
The DG LDA apologized from the court over the issue but the chief justice rejected his plea and said he should have thought of this while committing this crime.
The DG LDA said that Dar has requested to make the road more wide on which the CJP directed the official to submit the record of the application along with the affidavits from the LDA officials and map of the park land.
The CJP further remarked that the officials have become the slaves of the political masters and could cross any limit to save their jobs.
