Daniel Pearl Murder Case: Federal and Sindh Decide To File Review Petition

Islamabad: Federal and Sindh government have decided to fire review petition against the acquittal of accused in the Daniel Pearl murder case by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

A press release issued by Attorney General of Pakistan Khalid Javed the federal government is in touch with Sindh government after Supreme Court acquitted the accused in the Daniel Pearl murder case.

He said that the federal government will fully cooperate with Sindh government in this regard.

As per the press release, the federal and the Sindh government have agreed that review petition will be filed against the release of the accused as soon as possible.

Information Minister Sindh Nasir Hussain Shah regarding release of Umar Sheikh said that the Sindh government will file review petition against his release adding that Umar Sheikh has confessed his role in the beheading of the American journalist.

It is pertinent to mention here that Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday ordered to release all the accused in the murder of Daniel Pearl case. The accused included Ahmed Umar Shiekh, Fahad Naseem, Salman Saqib and Muhammad Adil.
