Dar blasts on IMF says it wants to see Pakistan defaulted like Sri lanka then it will negotiate with us

Islamabad: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has lost his cool on the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as he said that the global lender wants to see Pakistan defaulted like Sri Lanka and then it will hold negotiation with us.

The Finance Minister was briefing the Upper house standing committee on finance, he cleared that the IMF wanted totally to end all the subsidies but we can’t accept every demand.

Ishaq Dar said that we knew how much tax we have to get from where while he said that there is no proper reason for delay in the IMF review.

He said that there is a geo-politics going on that Pakistan turned into a defaulted state.

He said that on the demand of the IMF we can’t withdraw concession on youth of the country in Information Technology (IT).
The Minister said that Pakistan is a sovereign country and it has a right to take its own decision adding that the IMF wanted that we don’t give any tax exemption in any field.

He said that when we will not give tax relaxation how our growth rate will increase. When there is no revenue how will we run the the country, he added.

Financial cazr of the government couraging the masses said that there is no need to worry as everything is in order adding that the negotiations with the IMF is on.

He said that 9th review will complete in the current month.

Dar apprised that standing committee on finance that there is a government preference that the payment which has to be made be done on time.

The Minister said that smuggling of the dollar is going on while enemies of the country are fearing the people by telling lies.

He said that everyone money is a deposit and protected.
