Dar launches Pakistan first registered premium prize bond

ISLAMABAD:  Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday launched the first ever registered Premium Prize Bond of 40,000 rupees.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar addressing the launching ceremony said that Pakistan would be among big economies of the world by 2030.

He said that like other developed countries, Pakistan also launched registered prize bonds. He added that there would be no limit of investment and duration of investment in the premium prize bond.

He added that Rs 80 million would be the first prize for this premium bond of forty thousand rupees.

He said a bond of one hundred thousand rupees would also be launched soon after the success of this one.

Ishaq Dar said bonds will be available for individuals as well as public and private companies however banks cannot buy it.

Dar said that Pakistan was going to sign an agreement with Switzerland regarding exchange of information about taxes and money stashed in Swiss banks.

He added that credible international organizations were haling the performance of Pakistan economy.
