BEIJING: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held talks with Liu Haisheng, Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC), focusing on regional developments, bilateral relations, and progress on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 7th Pakistan-China Strategic Dialogue, which Ishaq Dar is co-chairing during his visit to China.
During the discussion, Dar congratulated Liu Haisheng on the successful convening of the Fourth Plenum of the 20th CPC Central Committee, highlighting Pakistan’s appreciation for China’s political stability and governance achievements.
Both sides reviewed the strong and steadily growing Pakistan-China relationship, reaffirming their commitment to deepening cooperation across multiple areas. Special emphasis was placed on party-to-party exchanges and continued collaboration on key CPEC projects, which remain central to economic connectivity and regional development.
