Islamabad (September 25, 2017): Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will appear before the Accountability Court today.
According to Dar’s council Mohammad Amjad Pervaiz, he will appear before the court today.
Earlier, Dar reached Pakistan late Sunday night along with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi fro London.
An accountability court issued arrest warrants for Dar in a corruption case against him after he failed to appear for his hearing on September 20.
Dar had been in London at the time of the hearing. Following the issuance of warrants, calls for Dar’s resignation echoed in the Senate.
NAB has filed a reference against Dar on the Supreme Court instruction issued in the judgment of Panamagate case.
