Famed singer and performer Shakira will be presented the Crystal Award at the World Economic Forum in Davos. About seven dozen people have been presented the Award over the last ten years and it will be the 23rd anniversary of the Award this year.
German-born musician and violinist par excellence Anne-Sophie Mutter and Hollywood actor, director and producer Forest Whitaker will also be presented the Crystal Award at the World Economic Forum where global elites meet end January every year in the remote Swiss town of Davos.
Shakira, Anne-Sophie, and Whitaker will receive the awards at an special event, followed by a concert to mark the opening of the meet.
According to foreign reports over 2,500 people from 90 different countries will be attending this year’s conference. Though the majority of World Economic Forum are corporate executives around two dozen heads of state and government will also attending the meet.
A party given by Google annually at a five star hotel is one of the many attractions of Davos while investor Anthony Scaramucci, who is now an advisor of Donald Trump, has also been hosting a grand reception at another famous hotel.
Chief operating officer of Facebook Sheryl Sandberg, Hollywood actor and activist Matt Damon, and Chinese billionaire and founder of Alibaba Jack Ma are some of the famous people who are expected to attend the Davos World Economic Forum this year.
