Deadlock over Panama Leaks ToRs must end: PM

LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed to hold talks with Opposition over Panama Leaks, saying that deadlock over Panama Leaks must end, while Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that government will make all possible efforts to create harmony over ToRs.

PM Nawaz chaired high-level meeting in Jati Umra, which was also attended by CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar, Hamza Shahbaz and other party leaders.

PM Nawaz directed during the meeting that negotiations should be held over Panama Leaks and all possible efforts must be made to end the deadlock between government and Opposition over ToRs.

PM Nawaz directed CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif to provide security in case opposition staged rallies, but no one will be allowed to take the law in hand.

The meeting also prayed specifically for Abdul Sattar Edhi. Maryam Nawaz hosted luncheon for meeting participants. Talking to media in Lahore, Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that if both sides did not agree over ToRs then they will bring fact before people.

He said that the result of sit-in is also in front of everyone and will come forward in future sit-ins. He said that government wanted such law under which everyone must be held accountable without any discrimination. The reality of rigging allegations had been surfaced in Judicial Commission. He said that national interest must be priority of everyone rather than political interest. He vowed that Pakistan in 2018 will be bright and prosperous. Ishaq Dar said that government is trying to appoint Election Commission member must be finalized till July 25.
