Multan: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that the matter of leader of opposition in the upper house of parliament has been lingered after running money in the senate elections.
Talking to media at the Raza Hall, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that an inquiry will be made regarding the notification of powers of the South Punjab adding that the notification is in negation of Prime Minister Imran Khan point of view and manifesto of the ruling PTI. He asked that if powers were denied to South Punjab then what is the need of construction of South Punjab secretariat after expending four billion rupees on it?
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Opposition leader in National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif had given guarantee for return of Nawaz Sharif at a time when he was allowed to visit abroad adding that Nawaz Sharif condition is not unwell and he should return and he should trust Pakistan’s court.
He said that the decision of opposition leader in the Senate resulted into division of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) while he added the most of the parties in the PDM don’t want to see Yousuf Raza Gillani as the opposition leader.
Foreign Minister said that Pakistan always wanted that the matters with India be settled with talks while the government has clarified its stance on Sugar trade with India.
