Hyderabad: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has demanded issuing a new National Finance Commission (NFC) Award after calling an immediate meeting of the National Finance Commission.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday inaugurated several projects in Hyderabad, he inaugurated renovation project in Niyaz Cricket Stadium and Khan Bahadur Hassan Ali Afandi People’s park in Hyderabad.
Moreover he also distributed ownership rights to people living in the slum areas of Hyderabad.
Addressing the ceremony at Niyaz Cricket Stadium , he said that the responsibilities handed over to the provinces under the 18th amendment, now its resources should also be given to the provinces.
The PPP chairman said ” He is seeing Hyderabad development in a fast pace as several projects including the Ring road are underway.”
He said that he will ask premier to give a gift of an airport to Hyerabad and there should be an airport in the second largest city of the province adding if he (PM) were not willing to do so then the provincial government will take measure on the lines of Sialkot airport building the airport in Hyderabad.
He said that the historic success on 26th amendment is not for a specific period but it is a permanent adding that talk of 27th amendment is only in airs.
He said that the government has contacted him for the 27th amendment.
He said that we got responsibilities for the provinces under the 18th amendment but the NFC award is still same.
He said that the federal government should not burden the provinces of their failures as the provinces have no role in the FBR failing of meeting the revenue target adding it is failure of those running the federal government and the FBR.
The PPP chairman said that it is the biggest success of Pakistan that the US declared the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and Majeed Brigade as terrorist organization.
He said that tackling of the Indian proxies are very much neccesary adding that the BLA and Majeed Brigade had openly supported the India in a brief war in May.
We have efforts that the United National also impose a ban on these organizations.
