Lahore: A defamation law 2024 approved in the Punjab Assembly (PA) on Monday.
Under the law a tribunal will be bound to decide the case in a hiatus of 180 days.The law will be for every citizen including politicians and journalists.
On presenting of the law in the PA, the opposition lodged strong protest while the opposition made a ruckus in the assembly.
They declared the law as black law and chanted slogans of black actions unacceptable. The opposition members also fixed the play cards having sentences against the bill on their seats.
