Details of ICC-PCB-BCB meeting revealed, PCB seeks PM’s nod to play with India on 15th Feb

LAHORE: Details of a crucial meeting between the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the International Cricket Council (ICC), and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have come to light.

According to sources, a key point raised during the meeting was that if the Bangladesh Cricket Board is brought on board, the PCB would also agree.

The PCB has reportedly urged the ICC to ensure that the Bangladesh Cricket Board receives its due share of ICC revenue.

The PCB further demanded guarantees from the ICC that India will tour Bangladesh in September. Additionally, it was proposed that the hybrid model arrangement between the PCB and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) should be extended until the 2031 World Cup.

Meanwhile, uncertainty remains over whether Pakistan and India will face each other in the T20 Cricket World Cup on February 15. The final decision is expected to be made during a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.

During the meeting, the PCB chairman will brief the prime minister on discussions held with the ICC and the Bangladesh Cricket Board. Mohsin Naqvi will also inform the prime minister about the ICC’s requests and the broader implications for Pakistan cricket.
