Thatta: Electricity breakdown has happened suddenly at Dhabeji Pumping station in Thatta which provides water to Karachi.
Owing to sudden power breakdown a pipe line having a diameter of 72 inch burst.
Provision of water to many areas in Karachi has been suspended as pipe line effected by the electricity breakdown.
The pipeline busted on Sunday morning, causing 20 water pumps to come to halt. The pipeline ruptured due to the pressure of water from the back.
Three pumps of the K2 line, four pumps of the K3 line, and 13 pumps of the G line have stopped working. This breakdown caused a suspension of 530 million gallons of water in Karachi from Thatta.
While the repair work at the site has not started yet.
