Didn’t Take Action Against JuD, FIF Under Any Foreign Pressure: DG ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Director General Inter-Service Public Relations (DG ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor on Wednesday said, the action against the banned outfits was taken without any foreign pressure.

Pakistan Army’s DG ISPR in an interview said, “Pakistan’s civil-military leadership is on the same page and we will just protect Pakistan’s interest now. The decision to ban Jamat-ud-Dawa (JUD) and Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation (FIF) were banned under no foreign pressure, it was decided in January.”

“Indian aggression has not been stopped yet on Line of Control (LoC). Pakistan did not want any conflict within the region but will retaliate to any misadventure from the enemy,” he added.

“National Action Plan (NAP) was formed in 2014 with consensus, there were 20 points in it. There wasn’t any FATF or Pulwama incident,” he further added.

“Pakistan then started operations like Zarb-e-Azab and Radd-ul-Fasaad to counter extremism and terrorism,” said DG ISPR.

“Indian government has given a dossier to Pakistan about Pulwama incident which is being reviewed by the MoI,” he added.

“Pakistan has no connection with the Pulwama incident, if any non-state actor is involved in the attack we will take an indiscriminate action,” concluded Asif Ghafoor.
