Karachi (June 29, 2017): Different areas of the city received intermittent rains on Thursday, turning the weather of the port city pleasant.
As per details, different city areas received rains on Thursday intermittently.
The rains which started on Wednesday evening brought much-needed respite from the punishing heat for Karachiites braved during Eid days.
With the continuing light rains, citizens set out to picnic spots and youth and children came out on roads to enjoy the pleasant weather.
Rain waters accumulated on roads in different areas hindering traffic flow.
The rain also exposed the performance of K-Electric, the power utility, with many areas experiencing hours long power cuts.
Despite the hollow claims of the power utility, many areas remained without power for eight to 10 hours and the utility miserably failed to respond to the situation arising out from even a light rain.
