KARACHI: A proposal has made to close schools located around Shahrah-e-Faisal and Karsaz in Karachi from November 19 to 22.
The recommendation came in light of the security arrangements for an upcoming international exhibition in the city. In a letter to the Karachi Commissioner, DIG Traffic Ahmed Nawaz Cheema has requested the closure of all schools in the vicinity of Shahrah-e-Faisal and Karsaz during four-day period.
The letter highlights that the opening of schools typically disrupts traffic flow, and that closing the schools would help ensure smoother traffic management during the exhibition.
DIG Cheema emphasized that the temporary school closures would contribute to better traffic movement, alleviating congestion and aiding in the overall management of the event. The measure aims to improve security and ensure an efficient flow of vehicles during the busy days of the exhibition.
