ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has stated that the government is implementing concrete initiatives to advance digital media.
During the grand launch of the digital platform Mazaj News in Islamabad on Monday, he highlighted the pivotal role digital media played during Marka-e-Haq.
He emphasized the importance of countering adversaries through communication on digital platforms, tailored to their own language.
The Minister called on digital media to actively contribute to projecting a positive image of the nation and combating the spread of misinformation. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of establishing a representative body for all digital media outlets to develop a unified editorial policy, assuring full government support and cooperation for this endeavor.
Addressing a query, Attaullah Tarar reaffirmed the Pakistan People’s Party as a vital ally of the government, expressing confidence in the continuation of this partnership and collaboration. He underscored that political boycotts are counterproductive and advocated for consensus and dialogue as essential approaches for progress.
