Dollar Price Increases By 52 Paisas In Inter bank Market

Karachi: The US dollar increase by 52 paisas against the Pakistani rupees on Tuesday in the interbank market.

After the hike the dollar reached 178. 65 from 178.13 paisas.

On yesterday, rally in oil prices worsened the position of Pakistan’s currency as the rupee dropped below 178 against the US dollar, depreciating 0.35% in the inter-bank market.

As per the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the rupee closed at 178.13 after a day-on-day appreciation of 63 paisas or 0.35%. This is the second-lowest closing level of the rupee in the inter-bank.

Last year on December 29, the PKR closed at 178.24 against the USD, which remains its lowest closing level.
