Islamabad: Chief Justice Supreme Court Qazi Faiz Isa in his conversation during the SC practice and procedure act 2023 asked that which basic right suffered from practice and procedure act? adding that Khawaja sb didn’t give his arguments on it while Imtiaz sb also didn’t talk on it.
The CJ said that if such a major attack were happened on us then we would have been taken suo moto on many issues.
Justice Qazi Faiz Isa raised question that don’t you want make a Chief Justice answerable to someone? You again and again gives a personal opinion and this is not of any value.
The CJ ordered him to give written reply on it.
Chief Justice asked that there is noting written in the constitution that the powers of parliament are unlimited adding that whole of law was wrong or a few articles?
Counsel Khawja Tariq replied that the Supreme Court had made its rules and parliament intervened in it. He said that legislation in the parliament conditioned to the constitution.
The CJ said that you note it down all the questions and reply it with contentment adding that “I am making your life easy but it looks that you don’t want this.”
