ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar will visit the United Arab Emirates to head the Pakistani delegation at the 12th session of the Pakistan-UAE Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC), scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi on June 24, 2025.

The Joint Ministerial Commission is the highest institutionalized platform for fostering bilateral cooperation between the two nations. The upcoming session aims to advance the strategic, economic, and developmental ties between Pakistan and the UAE.

Senator Dar will be joined by secretaries and senior officials from major Pakistani ministries, including Economic Affairs, Commerce, Energy, Maritime Affairs, and Interior. The UAE delegation will be led by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, accompanied by senior representatives from key Emirati institutions.

The session will evaluate progress made across various areas of bilateral cooperation and will also explore new opportunities for collaboration in sectors such as trade, investment, energy, infrastructure development, and information technology. Several legal agreements are expected to be finalized to formalize and enhance sector-specific cooperation.

This high-level engagement is expected to play a vital role in aligning the economic agendas of both countries and in expanding the scope of their mutually beneficial partnership.
