ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar arrived in Istanbul on Monday to join a meeting hosted by Türkiye’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hakan Fidan, focusing on the recent developments in Gaza.
Upon his arrival, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister was welcomed by Ambassador Ahmet Cemil Miroglu, Director General of MFA Protocol, along with officials from the Pakistan Embassy.

At the Istanbul meeting, Pakistan is set to underscore the importance of fully implementing the ceasefire agreement, ensuring Israel’s complete withdrawal from the Occupied Palestinian Territory—particularly Gaza—and providing unrestricted humanitarian assistance to Palestinians, alongside efforts for Gaza’s reconstruction.

The country will also reaffirm its stance on the collective pursuit of establishing an independent, viable, and contiguous State of Palestine with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital. This goal remains anchored in pre-1967 borders, aligned with relevant UN resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
Pakistan remains steadfast in its dedication to restoring peace, justice, and dignity for the Palestinian people and advocates strongly for their right to self-determination.
