ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammed Ishaq Dar, departed for Saudi Arabia on Saturday to participate in the upcoming meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Riyadh.
As per a statement from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on X (formerly Twitter), Ishaq Dar will also join the Pakistani delegation, which will be led by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, at the second Arab Islamic Summit.
The summit, convened at the invitation of Saudi Arabia, discussed key issues in the Middle East, with a particular focus on the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestine. The meeting aims to promote a unified stance among member states on these pressing regional challenges.
Pakistan’s participation underscores its commitment to standing with the Palestinian cause and collaborating with OIC member states to seek peaceful solutions to the ongoing conflict.
