ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar inaugurated the Charity Bazaar organized by the Pakistan Foreign Office Women’s Association (PFOWA) on Sunday.
The event, held at the Foreign Office, featured cultural stalls from various foreign embassies, showcasing a range of international cuisines and handicrafts. The Bazaar aimed to support underprivileged communities and brought together diplomats and their families, offering a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of different countries.
In his speech, the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the importance of the event, noting that it provided an excellent opportunity for the residents of Islamabad and Rawalpindi to visit the Foreign Office and experience the diverse cultures through food and handicrafts, while also contributing to charitable causes supported by PFOWA.
“Today’s bazaar is a captivating blend of diverse cultures and a variety of experiences, fostering harmony and fraternity among different nations,” Ishaq Dar stated.
He expressed his gratitude to the diplomatic community and the people of Islamabad for their active participation in the event. “It’s wonderful to see each country showcasing its unique culture, food, and other articles, offering visitors a unique experience.” The Deputy Prime Minister also emphasized that the event aimed to promote a deeper understanding of Pakistan’s social, cultural, and economic life.
