ISLAMABAD: Funeral prayers of Pakistan’s renowned nuclear scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan has been offered at Faisal Mosque.
High ranking military officials, civil administration and politicians attended the funeral prayers of Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan.
A large number of public has participated in the funeral prayers and in this regard district administration, FC and Rangers have arragned proper security arrangements.
Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan will be buried with all-State Honors and national flag will fly at half-mast.
On the other hand, funeral prayers in absentia for the renowned scientist were held in various cities across Pakistan, including Bahawalpur, Mardan, Gujrat, Peshawar, Jhang and Hyderabad.
In Bahawalpur Jamaat-e-Islami Chief Sirajul Haq led the prayers.
In Hyderabad, MQM Pakistan held prayers in absentia. A rally scheduled to be held in the city was postponed.
