Islamabad: Federal Ministry health has apprised that environmental samples from six districts have confirmed presence of the polio virus.
According to spokesman of the healh ministry the polio virus has found from four samples in Karachi, two in Chmman, Peshawar, Kohat and Noshehra one sample each found in these districts.
Federal Minister for health Dr Nadeen Jan has said that there is no cure to polio only vaccine provide protection to children from the virus.
Dr Nadeen Jan appealed the parents to welcome the polio teams arriving on their doorsteps.
He further apprised the sample belongs to Afghanistan YB3A virus cluster adding that the presence of virus has a risk for every child.
He said that the virus can make lower than five years old children handicapped for whole of live.
