Karachi: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) central committee with consensus elected former convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddique as Chairman of the party, the MQM-P spokesman said
The spokesman apprised that the Federal Minister for science and technology, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddique chaired the party central committee meeting.
The meeting was attended by Syed Mustafa Kamal, Dr Farooq Sattar, Nasreen Jalil, Anees Qaimkhani, Faisal Sabzwari, Amin Ul Haq and Rizwan Baber, the spokesman added.
As per the spokesman, the meeting decided to form a high level central council for assistance of organization and political matters for the central committee.
The name of members of the central council will be announced soon, the spokesman said.
